Based in Angel Islington, IMS is a vibrant, creative and dynamic media company that engages with its audience through print magazine publishing, digital platforms, events and contract publishing projects. We are a fast-moving, driven and ambitious team that offer a great opportunity for ambitious sales individuals to flourish.   

Our team is made up with some very talented and creative individuals and due to steady growth in our health and education sectors, we are looking for talented individuals who are currently working in media, event sales, a recruitment or similar sales environment, who are looking for their next career move.


We are looking for junior and senior sales super stars to grow our team. You will be involved in phone-based sales, whilst also attending regular client meetings and sector specific events.   You will be selling across a range of mediums offering clients an integrated cross platform marketing solution, so it's important that you are keen to learn and interested in marketing and advertising solutions – we do more than sell a space on a page!   

As well as making outbound calls to speak to customers about the marketing opportunities we have, you will also be booking adverts onto the system, advising customers on their advertising campaigns and presenting forthcoming features to appropriate businesses so that they can choose to advertise alongside these. It’s a busy, target-focused, client driven environment where you will need to be excellent at working under pressure and to tight deadlines, target driven, as well as being a fast learner, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for doing things well. Business development is key to the role along with a consultative approach to selling, strong negotiation skills, impressive sales presentation and closing techniques.  We’re a growing business which offers the right candidates a fantastic career opportunity.


  • 1 year (minimum) of sales experience in either media, recruitment or similar relationship sales environment
  • For senior sales a minimum of 3 years media sales experience is required.
  • Demonstrable telesales experience and high achievement record in sales
  • Great listening and questioning ability to overcome client objectives
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to over deliver high standards of service to clients
  • Highly tenacious, can do attitude, strong work ethic 
  • Relationship builder and strong communication skills
  • A quick learner with intellectual curiosity
  • Educated to degree level (desirable but not essential)


In return we offer a basic salary between £20,000 – £30,000 (dependent on skills and experience).

+OTE up to £15,000 in an uncapped commission scheme
