Media Sales Executives & Account Managers Wanted

The Company
Based in Angel Islington, IMS is a vibrant and dynamic media company that engages with its audience through magazine publishing, new media and marketing solutions. We are a fast-moving, driven and ambitious team producing high end, market leading B2B magazines and websites and offer a great opportunity for driven, ambitious sales individuals to flourish.

Our team is made up of some very talented individuals who together produce print and online publications, websites and social media platforms, from concept to content, media sales to look and feel and of course the all important finished product! We are looking for 2 talented individuals who are currently working in media sales, and 1 graduate (no experience required), all who are passionate about sales and looking for their next move.

The Roles
Both roles will be working along side the existing team on our established titles, however please note that successful candidates may also be a key part of the team that launches new titles. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are keen to make their mark and potentially move into more senior sales positions at a fast rate.

Media Sales Account Executive
18month plus experience, £23,000-£28,000 OTE 12–18k (uncapped)

You will be selling advertising across a range of mediums and able to offer clients an integrated cross platform marketing solution. You need to be excellent at working under pressure and to tight deadlines, target driven, as well as being a fast learner, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for doing things well.

The role will include new business generation and management and growth of existing accounts, using telephone and face to face discussions. Knowing the sectors your magazines publish in is essential to aligning you as a respected specialist in your field, and an integral part of successful selling, so you will be expected to keep abreast of issues in that sector.

You will have 18 month plus experience as a media salesperson ideally in a similar cross platform solution selling environment, solid experience in a B2B environment, and with a proven track record of achieving targets and more.

Graduates
0-6 months experience, £18,000-£22,000 OTE 10k

You will be given a magazine and mentor and inducted in-house into the IMS sales way. Working along side the existing sales team for your magazine, you will have hands on support for at least the first 3 months, learning your sector along side media sales training.

You will be selling advertising across a range of mediums so it's important that you are keen to learn and interested in marketing and advertising solutions – we do more than sell a space on a page! We aim to get you selling across all marketing mediums ASAP, so display sales, digital and schedules should be part of your sales portfolio quite quickly.

The aim is for you to grow your own client list and manage those clients with the support of your mentor and sales manager, but you could inherit some existing accounts too. You will have immediate responsibility for classifieds and be given the opportunity to work on sector specific projects to help build your knowledge and experience.

You need to be prepared to work very hard and learn fast, some experience in a sales environment will be a bonus, but not essential.
